Description
Cashmere blanket in grey and white woven in a beautiful herringbone pattern. The ends are finished with a natural fringe.
The blanket is handwoven on a traditional wooden loom in a classic herringbone pattern and has a generous size. The grey cashmere yarn is woven over a cream white base creating a subtle and beautiful colour impression. The blanket is heavy and very warm, making it the perfect cosy luxury to reach for whenever it is cold, or just as a luxurious addition to your home.
The fibre in this blanket is the finest cashmere combed by hand from the Changra goat. The Changra goats live in the extremely harsh climate and high altitudes in Ladakh in India. Only one percent of the world’s cashmere comes from this region, as it is a very inhospitable place. This part of the world is know a ‘the roof of the world’ and the nomadic shepherds live a very traditional life with the goat herds. The special harsh climate of Ladakh gives the cashmere fibres heat regulation properties, making a very warm and silky fibre.
The blanket is 100 % handmade in Kashmir with the cashmere from Ladakh. The fibres are hand spun and hand woven. The azo free colours used are hand coloured.
Timeless luxury and craftsmanship to treasure for generations to come.
Each piece bears the Asneh signature green ‘A’ embroidered in the corner. A mark of our quality and values.
Slight variations in each handmade item are not imperfections but add to their individual charm!
